Mindset is everything. No matter who you are, whatever you want to do, the choices you want to make, it all starts with a decision. It is your mindset. Your mindset can control every part of your life. Not always for the better.
Unfortunately, our thought processes learnt from childhood from the outside are not always good ones. In so many different ways, whether family, friends, school, Social Media, work, Media, etc. These can influence us without us realising, and we take forth into adulthood thoughts that don’t serve us for the best.
What type of person are you?
Is your glass half empty or half full?
Do you ever struggle with Fear, Sadness, Anxiety, Guilt or even Shame?
Do you have beliefs that you’re not good enough?
Do you believe you’ll never be healthy?
Do you struggle with a lack of confidence?
Do you suffer from a lack of self-esteem?
Do you have thoughts that stop you from doing what you want?
I could go on, but you should be getting my drift by now.
The Mind has two facets to it— The Conscious and The Subconscious.
The Conscious Mind is the Mind that analyses, thinks, plans and stores short term memories.
The Subconscious mind deals with long-term memories, emotions, feelings, habits, relationships patterns, addictions, behaviours, involuntary bodily functions, creativity, spiritual connections, and intuition.
You can see that our Subconscious Mind plays a very significant role in our lives. Many of our beliefs drive our very existence and how we internalise our external view of the world. Subsequently, our thoughts cause our behaviours. The stories we tell ourselves every day can limit our ability to what we want to do.
You are what you think about. To me, this really speaks volumes about a person. It’s not right or wrong, just a way for me to understand an individual and how they operate in life. The way you think has a direct correlation to your decision-making process.
If you say yes to any of the questions asked above, or you have any limiting decisions, then know that you don’t have to think like this. You can change the way you think because it’s never too late to change.
Dr Wayne D. Dyer said it best.
“Change your thoughts, Change your life.
Is your life how you want it to be?
Am I living my life to its full potential, or am I just getting through each day not being my real authentic self making decisions that best serve me?
